The ASUS ROG Strix Z890-E Gaming WiFi is an ATX motherboard built on the Intel Z890 chipset for the LGA1851 socket. It supports Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2), for gaming, content creation and other demanding workloads.

It has four DIMM slots supporting up to 256GB of DDR5 memory at speeds up to 9200+ MT/s (OC), with XMP and AEMP III support. Power delivery uses the ASUS Extreme Engine Digi+ design with two 8-pin CPU power connectors, and M.2 heatsinks with a backplate help manage storage temperatures.

Connectivity includes Realtek 5Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4, two rear Thunderbolt 4 ports, nine rear USB 10Gbps ports and three rear USB 5Gbps ports. Expansion includes one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (x4 mode), while storage support covers seven M.2 slots, three of them PCIe 5.0, plus four SATA 6Gb/s ports.

Audio is ROG SupremeFX 7.1 with the ALC4080 codec and optical S/PDIF output. BIOS FlashBack allows BIOS updates without a CPU installed.
