The MSI B860M GAMING PLUS WIFI is a Micro-ATX motherboard built on the Intel B860 chipset for the LGA 1851 socket. It supports Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2) and has four DDR5 memory slots supporting up to 256GB in dual channel, with speeds up to 8800+ MT/s (OC) and MSI Memory Boost.

Storage and expansion include one M.2 Gen5 x4 slot, one M.2 Gen4 x4 slot, one M.2 Gen4 x2 slot, four SATA 6Gb/s ports, one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and two PCIe 4.0 x1 slots. The M.2 slots use EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II for tool-less SSD installation, and EZ PCIe Clip II makes graphics card removal easier.

Networking is handled by Intel Killer E5000B 5Gbps LAN and Intel Killer BE1750x Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4. The rear panel includes a Thunderbolt 4 40Gbps Type-C port, USB 10Gbps and 5Gbps ports, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort outputs (requires processor graphics), a Clear CMOS button and a pre-installed I/O shield. Audio is 7.1-channel HD audio with Audio Boost using the Realtek ALC897 codec.
